Meet the Staff: Jeannie Parker
Welcome to our first post in our series, “Meet the Staff!”
Why are we doing this series?
I (Melissa) was thinking recently, and I thought to myself, How many folks know, I mean really know, who works at the George Center and how they contribute to keeping us up and running? I mean, there are our therapists, but even so, most of our therapists have other titles and roles here that go way beyond just music therapy. Not even that, but we have an office manager and billing manager who do SO MUCH to keep us afloat.
Everyone needs some recognition, right?
So without further delay, meet our Office Manager, Jeannie Parker!
A while back, I sent Jeannie an email, asking her some questions, and to be honest, she is way too humble, so I’m embellishing some of her answers.
What would you say your role is at GCMT?
Her answer: “Office Manager”
My embellishment: “More like Office Manager Extraordinaire! Jeannie handles scheduling all of our clients, new and old, creating flyers and graphics for events and camps, instrument inventory, finances, and a lot of other odds-and-ends things that have to get done here. She’s the type of person who gets things done before you even ask. She is a go-getter and thinks ahead. She helps everything run smoothly and is a literal angel.”
What are your husband/kids names?
“Tony, Madeline (14), Anthony (14) and Caroline (9). I also have a precious Bichon named Luna.”
What is your favorite part about working at GCMT?
The AMAZING Staff and Clientele! Everyone has been so kind and welcoming. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this team!

What do you like to do for fun?
“I love traveling, doing anything outdoors, reading and spending time with my friends and family.”
What is your favorite food?
“Toss up between Thai and Mexican”
Anything else you’d like to add?
“I grew up in East Cobb and went to UGA. I’ve lived in Crabapple for 16 years and I love this community!”
